Before Joining The Online Marketing Club
Are you attracted to the promise of riches in internet marketing? Are you decided to enter the field of affiliate marketing after reading the great success stories of others? But wait a minute…if you really think that you would be able to get there and be another success instantly, then calm down and let’s talk for some minutes.
You see, success in whatever industry involves 90% hard work and 10% good luck and maybe this explicitly explained why only a mere 10% of all online marketers are making comfortable income. All the rest are just mediocre jumping form one program to another hoping to strike the good break they are looking for.
After carefully studying the pros and cons of affiliate marketing and you are still determined to taste success, let me share some helpful tips to you. The very first thing that you should have in order to be a successful (or unsuccessful for that matter) online marketer is a website. Now, since you want to be successful you need to have an attractive professionally looking website.
How can you develop such an online marketing website? Before that, it would help to have a detailed understanding of the products that you want to market. Your website must be optimized in relation to the products that you have on the plan.
The next thing required is a suitable domain name as well as buying your hosting service. A domain name is the unique name of your own website accessible on the net. It is important that your domain name should be related to the products. With the right keywords in the domain name, your cause with various search engines will be a little bit less difficult.
Now it is time to create your web pages. Never be discourage just because you are not yet familiar with the whole process as you can easily find countless sites on the net providing page generation tools and express launches. However, understand that there could be a learning curve involved so give time for you to get through the entire process.
Getting fully aware of your own requirements would mean having a very good time in developing your web pages. Now, for those who never have the enough time to develop their site, readymade sites are available but of course this involved more cash outlay.
If you can develop your own web pages, it is sure to be less costly for you. Additionally, you would increase your level of knowledge and expertise in software and internet — an edge against other online marketers. If you are already an expert, you can be able to render professional touches to your site and make it more user-friendly for visitors and attractive. At the same time, you can focus more on your site’s content instead of concentrating more on developing the website.
Content is very vital. In fact, others are citing content as the King in online marketing. A good content is very necessary for an affiliate website. People are visiting websites because of contents and if your site doesn’t have the right content, you can say bye bye to your visitors and any hope of making sales would be slashed to the ground.
You got to weave your links in between the content you provide to induce the visitors to click on the links. You should also make use of the link exchange programs to get good Google page rank. And no hyped up ads please. Stick to the truth in an attractive way. Your site must be simple and at the same time exudes some level of elegance.
So by the time you and your site is ready, it is time to submit your URL to major search engines and maximize your exposure using SEO (Search engine techniques) techniques. Keep your site always updated with new contents and newer information. Don’t stop learning new things in order to arrive at the right ingredients to be a successful online marketer.
An online future belongs to you!

August 29th, 2010Blogging Success
More Comments Please
All bloggers love people to post comments on their articles. Unfortunately most blogs, most especially new ones, receive very few real comments from real people or nothing at all. Sure, everyone gets spam comments though.
I hope that with help from the tips presented below your blog will grow into a nice community of readers who interact by leaving you comments.
But first thing first, let me tell you upfront that if your blog has no traffic there is no way you can have comments. That is just a common sense, right? It’s kind of weird but some people could not draw the connection between these two factors.
With nobody reading your blog then expect nobody to leave comments either. Just because you post great articles does not automatically mean that people would be instantly reading and commenting your post. There is a need to actively promote your blog to the right audience.
However, please take note that in case you are not receiving any comments to your blog most likely it does not mean that your content is terrible or people hate you – it could be because you plainly don’t have sufficient traffic.
Now, when you do have some traffic and yet nobody care to make any comment to your posts, there are good ways to kindle or arouse people to make comments. Read on the tips below.
1. Write some articles related to blogging. You will certainly get the attention of other bloggers – bloggers love to make comments. This is one way for people to come to your blog and probably leave a comment or two.
2. At the end of your post, ask a question for readers to reply on.
3. Write about topics that have more chance to arouse like current events (ideas: politics, news, entertainment).
4. Be a little bit controversial with your posts. Express some tough opinions and most likely will either agree or argue with you.
5. Have patience and wait some time. There are times when you have no other choice but to wait until one person leaves a comment opening the gate for more viral discussion.
Last year, I lie low in responding to comments on my blog except if someone is asking me directly. At that I think I was just a little bit lazy and busy working on other online projects. As a result, comments on my articles gradually dissipated.
I detected that usual commentators stopped their regular commenting and a lot of conversations on my blog ended abruptly.
This is really sad for a blog and I will tell you the cause behind this thing. It is called as Social Proof.
What is Social Proof? It is when humans take some action or make a choice based mainly on seeing other people doing it first. It is more like an “implied recommendation.” When others do it – it should be good!
Compare it to a group of people all looking up at something in the sky at the same time. Without knowing why, you are also drawn to turn your head skywards and see what all the commotion is about.
When first time readers of your blog see other people making various comments most likely they will think that there is something precious at your blog and will bookmark or subscribe to it and make a comment.
Sure, this is definitely good for your blog’s traffic – a proven social proof in action.
I am very mindful of always actively participating in comment conversations at my blog and accordingly my readership was growing tremendously. Before that strong awareness, I stopped and I noticed I hit a dark hole and my blog failed to grow quite as well as it should be.
I know of one blogger who has a rule she always followed to the letter. She responds to all the comments readers are leaving on her blog. Consequently, she successfully developed an ever-growing community around her blog and her traffic ballooned in just a short span of time.
Do not forget that comments on your articles are essential for your blog’s success so take the time to respond to them.
So what’s holding you back from making a comment below this post?

Social Network Sites
One of the best and proven ways to market anything anytime anywhere is the use of the ever-growing social network sites. Why? Well, just consider how many millions are into these sites and you can see the potential to make money by tapping the market waiting for you.
What’s that, you say? You must be living in the cave for the last 10 years. You’ve heard of it — in the Philippines it used to be Friendster. And for those in the know — it’s also called multiply.com, imeem.com and more recently, Facebook.com as well as Twitter.com. Facebook alone has members reaching more than 400 million worldwide. That is huge. Very very huge, indeed!
But when you’re promoting to a more international audience, where do you go? It depends on your audience of course!
The French newspaper Le Monde (“the world”/”everybody” in English) has a MAP of social networks worldwide popularity. Look for it on the net…using Google.
Now you know where to promote.
You see, one of the best ways to promote in these Social Networks is to identify groups in them that are related to what you’re promoting –and do the following:
a. Contact the group owner and ask permission to promote.
b. Insert your event in the group’s calendar.
However, I personally do not do this. I have professional Virtual Assistants working for me. Once you’ve got the approximate profits that you can get from a promotion – by the time it exceeds $500 a month — then it’s recommended to use a Virtual Assistant who can make your product or service instantly known throughout your intended market.
But if you’re just beginning your journey, sign up for an account in all of the social networks and start doing your tuff there.
Then start making income from the internet!

August 22nd, 2010Online BusinessSeveral of our readers have asked about how to create a squeeze page and thank you page. Below are some answers I hope will help.
First, you’ll need an html editor. You can locate several free ones by doing a search at Google. Now, each editor is a bit different from the others but they are all similar enough that you should be able to apply them to the following discussion here.
HTML editors are a LOT like the word processor on your computer. Take note of the options at the top of the html editor, and you’ll see that many are the same as on your word processor.
You can insert pictures, add links, change font style, size and color, make tables, move your text to the left, right or center and so on.
The biggest difference is that an html editor writes the page in html code so it can be viewed online. You may do a search at Google for video tutorials on the basics of using an html editor.
After you create your page you’ll need to log in to your autoresponder account and create a unique autoresponder for that squeeze page, then generate the opt-in form code to add to your squeeze page. If you don’t know how to do these steps, please view the video tutorials that are provided by your autoresponder service.
Now place your cursor on your squeeze page where you want the form to be located. Then click the ‘html’ or ‘source’ tab at the bottom of your html editor. This will change your view of the web page from “what you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) mode to html mode.
Your cursor should still be in the same location of the web page where you want the opt-in form, so copy the entire form code from your autoresponder account and paste it on your page where your cursor is.
Click ‘view’ or ‘normal’ mode on your html editor and you should see the opt-in form on your squeeze page, right where you wanted it to be.
It’s a good idea to save your changes frequently while you’re working on any web page. Then if you make an error and can’t seem to delete it properly, you can close the editor without saving your changes without losing much of your previous work.
So go ahead and dive in and before you know it you’ll be creating squeeze pages left and right.
You could be an expert too!

Successful Online Marketers
Yesterday, my friend inquired things related to online marketing. He specifically sends these three questions.
Question #1: I don’t have a big list, can I still make affiliate commissions on autopilot?
Answer #1: Yes. You most definitely can. When I got started, I did not have list as well. I was able to add over 250,000 subscribers ever since.
Before you even begin building a list, prepare a series of messages that promote quality affiliate programs. Then, schedule those messages using an autoresponder to be sent out every 2-3 days to everyone that opts into your list.
Now something magical will happen. When you get your first subscriber, he will receive the first email. Then 2-3 days later he will get the next one, 2 days later he gets the 3rd email, and this goes on for as long as you have messages or he unsubscribe.
If you have 50 messages in your autoresponder, then one subscriber equals 50 chances to make a sale. Your chances of making a sale multiply manifold with each and every new subscriber you get.
When you add 100 subscribers, you have 5,000 chances of making a sale. In the same manner, when you get 1000 subscribers, 60,000 chances of making a sale.
You get the idea?
You don’t need a big list. You need to START building one the right way, right away.
Question #2: Where do I find a good autoresponder?
Answer #2: I primarily use and highly recommend Aweber service. They have a great service, and their support is there when you need it. As an alternative, you can try GetResponse or TrafficWave.
Question #3: Can I write my own autoresponder messages?
Answer #3: You most certainly can. It would take you days of researching quality products, and then days of writing enough email messages to fill up your autoresponder.
As with everything, if this is the first time you do this, don’t expect it to be your best.
Your emails should be professionally written and they should promote already researched high quality products. All you have to do is copy and paste them into your autoresponder, change your affiliate id and you are set to go.
Till next time.

Online Marketing
“The Money Is In The List.” Oh girl, if you had a dollar each you’ve heard that said, well, I am sure you’d already have a fortune and there is no need to search further!
The fact is yes it is really TRUE that the money is in the list if you know how to grow and profit from opt-in lists.
To start, you must have a sub-domain name or your own domain name with an Email Capture Page and an Autoresponder.
In order to build a list you MUST have your own Email Capture Page. New people are not aware of this and often spend thousands of dollars building lists for the owners of the affiliate programs they have links to. This is one of the reasons so many fail. If you don’t have the tools and know-how to make your own email capture page, you’re building someone else’s list and hoping to receive a one-time commission. You can’t grow your business and income without your own list.
Rather, you could pick one of the programs you’re in and make that your main business. Create a domain name and an Email Capture Page that links back to your autoresponder and you has just positioned yourself to start building your own list. Then you can promote your other programs to your list.
After a while you won’t have to pay for advertising anymore because you will have your own list to promote to!
If you can point and click, you can easily create your own Email Capture Page, and your own Domain name or a Sub-Domain name. Now you’re ready to start promoting and everything you do must work towards list building!
Have you seen these…
* Emails and Websites that say “No Selling” or…
* Emails consisting of one sentence followed by Click Here?
First thing first, you can not advertise successfully without SELLING to someone on the fact that they need what you have.
Think about all the emails you get each day. Don’t you want to know if it will benefit you to take the time to view their product? It would take all day to read every single email.
What I do is chose which ones to read and which to delete. In other words –What’s In It For Me? (WIIFM)
Remember that a great subject line will get your email opened but without good content your link may never be clicked on.
In Email Marketing your email should be a sales letter that…
* States the problem.
* States how your product can solve the problem.
* States the feature(s).
* States the benefit(s) — WIIFM.
You’ve also got to convince them to TRUST you enough to let you into their lives so they will click on your site and hand you their name and email address.
And…you’ve got about 1 minute to do it.
I’m not a professional copywriter, so I collect good sales copy from others (Swipe File) to create my own sales letters.
You’re dealing with a lot of different personalities and “Hot Buttons.” What makes one open your email may not make another. Plus, if I use the same Subject Line and content everyday they won’t continue to open it – it loses its touch as they’ve seen it before.
They may not purchase right away, very few do, but don’t get discouraged. You’re building your list!
I hate to tell you this, but there is no “Get Rich Quick” program. Yes, you have been lied to. It takes time and there is a process you must follow. And it starts with your own Email Capture Page so you can build your list and then build a caring, strong relationship with your subscribers.
If you take care of them… they will take care of you. Most of us are looking for someone we can trust and count on for the truth. Be that person for your subscribers and the money will follow. Selling and marketing are the keys to your success.
There are many ways to market your product or service both Free and Paid. Email Marketing is one of my favorite ways to build a list because it’s Fast, Easy and gets results! Just copy and paste your email in the form and hit “Send Email.”
I’ve had sponsors that only emailed me when they wanted me to buy something. They never showed me “The Love – or – The Money.” Remember, the more you give of yourself… the more you’ll get in return.
Speed up your journey to success!

Internet Marketing For Free
Internet marketers most especially the newcomers are searching for effective ways to market the business for free or at least cost. If you think you do not have the necessary budget to finance an online advertising campaign, then you are fortunate because it is really possible to promote your business just using some effort and time.
We will discuss here at least three fail-safe methods in building internet business towards success with no need to pour in much money. As stated above, these require your time so you have to prepare to really sit down and do it by yourself. Anyway, by the time you are already earning enough, you can just outsource these tasks.
The beauty about the net is that if you lack something on finances you can make it up by using time and effort instead. With other offline businesses, it might be impossible or at least very hard to do it this way. Below are the three proven ways.
Method 1. Participating and posting in discussion forums is a very brilliant way to label yourself as an authority in a specific niche you are into while on the same breathe promoting your business. If you are into socializing and networking with other like-minded people, then forum marketing could work wonders for you. Discussion forums are considered as another type of social media comparable to video sites, blogs, RSS feeds, social network sites, etc. By sharing ideas and helping people resolve their concerns, you can be rewarded with traffic to your site.
With forums, you are allowed to create your own profile as well as putting up a signature on every post you put up. The key here is the signature because this is where you can have your classified ad linking to your site or a page selling or promoting your product or service.
Method 2. Article marketing or as what others call it, bum marketing is another proven marketing tactic for free. There are so many apparent benefits with article marketing. You can increase the pare rank (PR) as well as drive traffic to the site. Others are using it as search engine bait while branding themselves a authority on their niches. It is also very effective in building mailing list and even directly making sales out of it.
The key with article marketing is using focused articles which solve people’s problems. So where is the push button with bum marketing? Look at the bottom of the article and you will see a straightforward resource box directing readers to the links provided by the author. The links can be forwarded to your own sites and you know the rest.
Method 3. Google is in love with blogs so there is no question that it is very good in building an online business. Start your own blog now and if you are still behind with this platform. As we are already in Web 2.0, readers and search engines are fond of blogs.
As recommended, it is better to produce targeted blog articles on specific niches on a regular basis so as to increase traffic and pare rank in the search engines. The key here is getting targeted and appropriate keywords in the articles posted.
Don’t forget to bookmark them in the many reputable social directories to promote targeted and organic traffic and baiting the search engines.
In conclusion, these three surefire ways to successfully market your online business for free could work wonder for you. I am personally suggesting that you start with one method and know its ins and outs before jumping to the next one.
Start it now today – for free!

Online Marketing Strategy Summit
A marketer whether involved in online or mortar-and-brick business must be aware and understand some of the most effective “secret” marketing techniques most especially in making product copyright. Yeah, I know…these are not secrets anymore because we will be exploring these strategies here. Here they go…
1. The “Code Cracker” Strategy
The line “I’ve finally cracked the code…” strategy convey to your prospects that your efforts and dedication to solving their particular problem has finally paid off. You should also tell them how much time, money, research, sweat has gone to come up with the product.
2. The “Eye It Yourself” Strategy
The “for your eyes only…” strategy tries to convince the prospects that your message or offer is just for their exclusive viewing. Your subscribers will be happy like that they are offered the right to first to know of some closed-door knowledge on your product and will have the first opportunity to apply and get benefit from it.
3. The “Truth” Strategy
The “the truth is, if you aren’t (your product’s benefit), then you’re (negative effect)…” strategy leads the prospects to believe that if they don’t buy the product then they will continue troubled by the same problems they are having. Being a recognized authority or trustworthy would mean that buyers will assume that your message could be the truth.
4. The “Full Profits” Strategy
The “I am giving away 100% commissions if you want to promote this…” strategy ignites a bulb in the prospect’s head that the cost of ordering the product can be easily recoup by just a single sale they could make. Not like resell rights, you can have it set up as an affiliate program with 100% commissions. It will be less work for your customers and all they will need is an affiliate link and you have a growing buyers list.
5. The “Jumping Around” Strategy
The “like me back then, you’re probably jumping from one product to another and not benefiting…” strategy shares to the prospects the same experience as they are presently having. You can then tell them you turned the situation around using your solution contained in the product you are promoting. You also must tell them why your product works better than the competitor’s.
6. The “Change Your Mind” Strategy
The “I wasn’t going to tell you this but….” strategy holds your prospect’s attention that originally you were not supposed to reveal some piece of information but had change of mind. Since the information is assumed to be beneficial to the buyers, they should be grateful that you changed your mind by buying the product.
7. The “Twisted Their Arm” Strategy
The “(business or person’s name) never lets anyone promote this…” strategy convinces the prospects that the affiliate product or offer is restricted and they are the only ones exclusively seeing it. You can emphatically tell prospects that you invest effort to twist the product owner’s arm to agree offer it to them.
8. The “Health Warning” Strategy
The “major health warning: (your product’s name) is very addictive…” strategy zero in with the prospect to take special notice as most people value their health. Once the attention is gained, you can start to enumerate the potential benefits prospect can have with your addictive product.
9. The “Not Created Equal” Strategy
The “not every (your type of product) is created equal…” strategy advises prospects never to assume that your product and the competition’s have the same features and supposed benefits. You must tell them the main differences to persuade them to purchase your product rather than that of the competitor.
10. The “Admit It” Strategy
The “I’ll tell you what most (experts/competitors) don’t want to admit…” strategy implies to your prospects that competitors are hiding something from them. What you find and choose to expose must be persuasive enough for them to buy product you are marketing.
So now that you know, it is time to go ahead and apply these strategies and watch your revenues soar to the sky! Good luck, online marketers!

Obsolete Phone One-Liners
Many marketers using the phone are found guilty to the first degree of these dumb one-liners in phone calling scripts. Here it goes:
I see a lot of well-intentioned sales guys slaughter any good chance of getting a sale by using some worn-out one-liners that should have been dead and buried by now. I hope you are in agreement with me.
These one-liners are worn out, flatly obsolete and they instantaneously stamped a label to anyone who uses them as just slick pushy sales guy.
Below are just a few of my favorite — used by me and many other marketers a long long time ago in a far away galaxy.
1. “Hi…how are you?”
This greeting sounds so fake and quite insincere. Why? Well, if you have never spoken to them before, why on hell would you care how they are doing? Maybe…you are just a nice guy, Oh really? You looks like you are hiding something from me and I hate surprises.
2. “This is a courtesy call.”
This sounds very preposterous and already ruthlessly boring. Therefore it has no real value whatsoever. It is a bold faced lie! And your call receivers know that.
3. “Today and today only.”
My goodness! You must create some urgency in your offer compelling your prospect to take immediate action…but do NOT say ‘Today and today only’ as it’s been used too many times before. This just sounds so cheesy! They see it a hundred times a day on the infomercials.
4. “Would you like to meet on Thursday, or would Friday be better?”
Avoid this very old insurance close using alternate dates. This was a great technique decades ago — when it was first introduced. But by now almost all people has heard it. So please dumb this one.
4. “Are you looking to increase sales?” and “Are you interested in making more money?”
These two classics are really stupid overly obvious questions which the prospect quite rightly sees as an insult to their intelligence. I would…would you be insulted?
Man, are you serious? No dummy, I am looking for ways to lose money and go bankrupt!
Listen, if you have used any of these lately, it’s okay…it is never really your fault. If you are still doing these now, there is no need to blame yourself.
It is mainly the fault of those hack old-school sales trainers that are jammed in the past and its basic human conditioning.
Many salespeople are still into these obsolete one-liners because they have done it for many years and people can get comfortable with what we are used to doing – sort of a comfort zone type of thing.
Did you ever feel comfortable with the use of these one-liners? So what now?
The best thing to do is just be yourself – that is naturally. No more script to memorize verbatim or read into the phone.
Common…people like you, they respect you and will believe you when they hear the sincerity expressed in your voice.

Successful Bloggers
Everywhere on the net, it would be easy to read people especially online marketers proudly shouting of the importance and role of blogging on their success. Whereas before, blogging platform is heavily associated with the freedom of sharing ideas, now it is heavily linked with making money.
The platform, the activities and the audience reach are all incredibly precious tools for a person desiring to start an online business venture. So what precisely does a blog do and where does all that significance coming from?
Let’s take a closer view at why blog is such an extremely powerful tool and why you got to have one – if you are not yet blogging.
The benefits of blogging. A blog is considered a direct communication device between you and your prospective customers and readers. It permits you to speak to them in a deeper and more personal way compared to any single article ever could.
Blogs are definitely simple to use — sans complex technical tools needed and no advanced programming experience necessary. In fact, anybody can install one in ten minutes, write a post just like using a word processor, and update your theme and style in minutes – most of time for free.
Blogs have built-in tools to share content all over the net. Someone presses a button and they can have access to your posts from their phone, desktop and browser anytime of the day. Your readers can share their ideas by commenting on your posts.
Lastly, blogs are best for search engines especially Google. In case you’re not using a blog for your personal presentation, you’ll find that the platform is brilliant for linking, search engine friendly code, and easy to index pages. Google just loves blogs.
Getting into the blogging club. So what does it mean to have your own blog? It all really depends a lot on things you’re doing and what you see the use of your site. In any case, you need to have a blog regardless of its projected uses.
Most affiliate marketers like to have their names getting popular which allows them to network with other marketers and gain right of entry to new products quicker. Blog can get you to do this more straightforwardly. At the same time, blog can be effectively used to build your lists of subscribers. And we know that money is in the list or is in the people listed.
Moreover, a blog is the easiest tool for building a site. Planning on putting together your first authority or review sites, then getting the blogging platform might be just what the fat lady is singing for.
Blogs can be created fast, take only very minimal programming knowledge, and allow for effortless adding and indexing of new content. What more can you ask for?
The main goal of the blog is to facilitate conversation. If you are thinking of creating site for plainly selling product or an authority site with no need for a feedback mechanism, then it would be much better to go with plain HTML format.
In conclusion, a blog is evolving as one of the primary tools of internet marketing. And I think this is not just another passing fad or trend. The future has a place for blogging and that future is manifesting before our eyes.
